What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Content Writer: Write, edit and publish inspiring content.

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

3 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

Hi, I’m Anna — a local travel blogger and founder of a Local Guide place, a community project that shares authentic island experiences with travelers from all over the world 🌍.

I live and work on Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam’s tropical paradise known for its white-sand beaches, lush forests, and vibrant local culture.

My goal is to promote responsible and local-style tourism through storytelling, photography, and video content that captures the real essence of the island.

In exchange, I offer free accommodation and the opportunity to explore the island together — visiting hidden beaches, fishing villages, jungle trails, and delicious local food spots 🍜.

If you love creating content, connecting with locals, and discovering Vietnam beyond the tourist path, this experience is perfect for you.

Activities & Shift

I’m currently developing content for our website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel, and I’m looking for creative travelers who can help with:
🎥 Filming & editing short videos or reels
📸 Taking photos of local life, food, and nature
💡 Sharing creative ideas to grow our social media presence

🕐 20 hours per week
🌴 3 days off to enjoy the island at your own pace
