The experience

Join us on the shores of Lake Kivu in Gisenyi, Rwanda — a peaceful paradise surrounded by mountains and nature🏞️. We’re looking for creative and outgoing people who can help capture the beauty of the lake through photography, videography, and social media. 🎥✨ You’ll also take part in promoting social gatherings and cultural moments with guests from around the world!

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner English or Intermediate English

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

This exchange is ideal for volunteers who love creativity, connection, and lakeside living. You’ll collaborate with our local team in producing beautiful photos and videos, sharing content online, and organizing social activities.
The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly — a great chance to experience Rwandan culture, learn new skills, and make international friends while living by one of Africa’s most stunning lakes.

Activities & Shift

You’ll assist with:
📸 Taking and editing photos
🎬 Creating and publishing short videos or reels
💬 Managing and updating social media platforms
🎉 Helping organize fun social events and gatherings

20 hours per week, with 3 days off to explore Gisenyi, swim in Lake Kivu, or visit local markets.
