Program Details

Welcome to our non-profit animal rescue farm in Piemonte, Italy!
We are a volunteer-run ODV that cares for rescued horses, dogs, cats, and goats. By joining us, you’ll become part of a small, warm community of animal lovers dedicated to giving our animals a safe, healthy, and happy life.

Volunteers help with daily animal care, cleaning, feeding, and maintaining the farm — but also enjoy community life through shared meals, art, yoga, and sunset “Wine O’Clock.”

We believe volunteering should be meaningful and fun: you’ll learn practical animal care skills, connect with nature, and meet people from all over the world while supporting a good cause.

Activities & Shift

Tasks are divided by zones and rotated among volunteers to keep things varied, and may depend on your previous experiences with animal or/and level of comfort around them. Typical activities include:

Cleaning horse boxes, paddocks, and grooming areas
Feeding and grooming horses
Walking dogs (house dogs or kennel dogs)
Cleaning shared areas and garbage disposal
Occasionally helping with small maintenance or gardening projects

Each week’s schedule is posted on the weekend so everyone knows their zone and tasks.
If you’re new, you’ll always start with an orientation and training from staff or experienced volunteers.
After your 3-hour shift, you’ll have plenty of free time to relax, explore the area, or join community activities such as:
Yoga (hosted by volunteers)
Arts & Crafts with Dee
Team Dinner (volunteer-cooked, with €20 budget provided)
Wine O’Clock — our sunset social time
Weekly Grocery Run to town
Trail Rides (depending on weather and season)

We also host weekly Volunteer Check-ins to share with the staff about any issues, suggestions, complains or concerns each week.
and includes a volunteer check in on Friday, in which volunteers have a chance to chat . In the schedule there are also not mandatory activities, like Team dinner, in which one volunteer or staff member can choose to cook for everybody (20 euros badget is provided by the staff), Wine o'clock (give a chance to drink together and share experiences), art and crafts (for the more artisty people), trail rides (weather and season dependent), but also any other activities and interest that volunteers would like to share with the team. For example, in the past we had yoga sessions, kick box classes, horsemanship classes and much more!
