The experience
Join Vivencia Intercultural Pukyu Pamba, a community project located in the foothills of Mount Taita Imbabura, Ecuador. We’re creating opportunities for local children to learn new languages and broaden their horizons through cultural exchange. As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a meaningful social impact initiative — teaching English and supporting educational activities at the community school.
What you offer
5 hours of help per day
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Description:

What you get
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Tent:
You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Free Tours:
We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!
Free Hiking Tours:
We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Language lessons:
Take free language classes at our place.
Permaculture Course:
Take part in our Permaculture course for free.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Certificate:
Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Fluent English or Beginner Spanish
Over 18 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Activities & Shift
olunteer Tasks
Teach basic English (or your native language) to children and youth in the local school.
Design fun and interactive activities to help students practice vocabulary, conversation, and pronunciation.
Support local teachers in planning and leading lessons.
Organize creative workshops that integrate art, music, or storytelling with language learning.
Participate in community events, helping to strengthen the bond between volunteers and families
Rules
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome volunteers who are patient, creative, and passionate about teaching and cultural exchange. You don’t need to be a professional teacher — just bring enthusiasm, empathy, and an open heart. Basic Spanish is helpful, but not required.
