Join our private dog shelter in Hunedoara, Romania, where hundreds of rescued dogs find love, safety, and a second chance at life. ❤️

If you’re an animal lover who doesn’t mind getting your hands dirty, enjoys outdoor work, and has a big heart for dogs, this is the perfect place for you.
Each day brings something new — caring, cleaning, feeding, or simply spending time with dogs who crave affection and trust.

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English or Beginner German

Between 18 and 65 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Activities & Shift

You’ll be part of our small, passionate team dedicated to saving and caring for abandoned dogs.
The work can be physical and messy, but it’s filled with purpose and heart.

Your main tasks may include:
🦴 Feeding the dogs and ensuring everyone gets their share
🧹 Cleaning kennels and outdoor spaces to keep them safe and healthy
🩺 Helping with basic care (checking for wounds, giving medicine if needed)
🛠️ Small maintenance tasks like cleaning, painting, or repairs
📸 (Optional) Helping with photos or social media if you enjoy creative work
🐕 Socializing and walking dogs — especially shy ones who need extra love and patience

You’ll never be alone — we work as a team, share laughs, and support each other every day.


Most days start early in the morning. You’ll help around 4–5 hours a day, with plenty of free time in the afternoon to rest, explore, or just enjoy the dogs’ company.
2 days off per week.
