What you offer

4 hours of help per week

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Music: Perform to entertain guests, children or local communities.

Tour Guide: Organize and lead tours around the city.

Program Details

As an Explorer with our team in Jinja, Uganda, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture, explore the surrounding countryside, and participate in a variety of adventure activities.

Responsibilities

- Explore the local community and learn about Ugandan culture and traditions
- Participate in adventure activities, such as Nile River Adventures, Bungee Jumping, and Quad Biking
- Visit local markets, try traditional foods, and engage with the local community
- Develop a deeper understanding of the local environment and conservation efforts
- Share your experiences and insights with our team and community

Program Structure:

Orientation: Upon arrival, you'll participate in an orientation program to introduce you to our team, the local community, and the program structure.
Exploration: You'll spend most of your time exploring the local area, participating in adventure activities, and engaging with the community.
Debriefing: At the end of the program, you'll participate in a debriefing session to share your experiences and insights with our team.

Accommodation and Meals:

- You'll be accommodated with a local host family or in a shared accommodation with other explorers.
- Meals will be provided, and you'll have opportunities to try traditional Ugandan cuisine.

Support and Supervision:

- Our team will provide ongoing support and supervision to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience.
- We'll also provide guidance and resources to help you make the most of your time in Jinja.

Duration and Flexibility

- Minimum duration: 1 week
- Maximum duration: Flexible, up to 3 months or more
- Extension: You can extend your stay, subject to approval and availability.

As an Explorer with our team in Jinja, Uganda, you'll have the opportunity to experience the thrill of adventure activities in one of Africa's most beautiful towns!

Nile River Adventures: Explore the mighty Nile River by kayak, canoe, or raft. Take in the stunning scenery and wildlife as you paddle or ride the rapids.
Source of the Nile: Visit the Source of the Nile, one of the most iconic landmarks in Uganda. Take a hike to the top of the rock for breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
-Jinja City Exploration: Discover the vibrant culture and history of Jinja City. Visit local markets, try traditional foods, and explore the city's many attractions.
-Bungee Jumping: Take the ultimate adrenaline rush and jump off the Nile Bridge, 44 meters above the water!
Quad Biking: Explore the rolling hills and scenic countryside on a quad bike adventure.
-Cultural Tours: Immerse yourself in local culture with visits to traditional villages, cultural centers, and community projects.
