What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Elderly Care: Assisting and spending time with the elderly.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.


What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Surf lessons: Take free surf classes at the local beaches.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details


*Volunteer Program Overview*

Our volunteer program is designed to support the care and well-being of children and elderly individuals in our community. We believe that every individual deserves dignity, respect, and quality care, regardless of age or ability.

*Children's Care Program*

Our children's care program focuses on providing a safe, nurturing environment for children from vulnerable backgrounds. Volunteers work with our experienced caregivers to provide:

1. Educational support (homework help, literacy programs, etc.)
2. Recreational activities (sports, arts, music, etc.)
3. Emotional support and mentorship
4. Basic care (feeding, bathing, etc.)

*Elderly Care Program*

Our elderly care program aims to improve the quality of life for older adults in our community. Volunteers assist with:

1. Daily living activities (bathing, dressing, etc.)
2. Meal preparation and feeding
3. Companionship and social interaction
4. Light household chores and errands

*Volunteer Roles*

Volunteers can choose to work with either the children's or elderly care program, or split their time between both. Responsibilities may include:

1. Leading activities and workshops
2. Providing one-on-one support and companionship
3. Assisting with daily care tasks
4. Helping with events and fundraisers

*Requirements and Support*

1. Volunteers must be 18+ years old and have a passion for working with children or elderly individuals.
2. Background checks and references are required.
3. Volunteers receive orientation, training, and ongoing support from our experienced staff.
4. Volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of 2-3 hours per week, for a minimum of 6 weeks.


Activities & Shift



*Children's Care Program (Daily Activities)*

- 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Breakfast preparation and serving
- 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Homework help and educational support
- 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Recreational activities (outdoor games, arts, music, etc.)
- 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch break
- 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Life skills training (cooking, hygiene, etc.) and emotional support
- 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Snack time and relaxation

*Shift Options (Children's Care):*

- Morning shift: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Afternoon shift: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Full-day shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with breaks)

*Elderly Care Program (Daily Activities)*

- 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Morning exercise and wellness activities
- 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Breakfast serving and feeding assistance
- 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Recreational activities (storytelling, games, etc.)
- 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch serving and feeding assistance
- 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.) and companionship
- 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Light household chores (laundry, cleaning, etc.)

*Shift Options (Elderly Care):*

- Morning shift: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Afternoon shift: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Full-day shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with breaks)

*Common Activities (Both Programs):*

- Celebrating birthdays and special occasions
- Organizing events and outings
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Assisting with administrative tasks (as needed)

Please note that schedules may vary depending on the specific needs of the program and the volunteers' availability. We strive to be flexible and accommodating while ensuring the best possible care for our beneficiaries.


Rules


*Confidentiality and Privacy*

- All volunteers are required to sign a confidentiality agreement to protect the privacy and dignity of our beneficiaries.
- Volunteers are not allowed to share any information or photos of the children or elderly individuals on social media or with anyone outside the organization without explicit permission from the program coordinator.

*Safety and Security*

- Volunteers must arrive on time and sign in and out with the program coordinator or designated staff member.
- Volunteers are required to wear identification badges and follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Volunteers are not allowed to be alone with a child or elderly individual at any time, unless explicitly authorized by the program coordinator.

*Communication*

- Volunteers are expected to communicate effectively and respectfully with staff, beneficiaries, and other volunteers.
- Volunteers are required to report any concerns or incidents to the program coordinator or designated staff member immediately.

*Respect and Empathy*

- Volunteers are expected to treat all beneficiaries with respect, dignity, and empathy.
- Volunteers are not allowed to use physical punishment, verbal abuse, or any form of mistreatment towards beneficiaries.

*Boundaries*

- Volunteers are not allowed to give gifts or money to beneficiaries without permission from the program coordinator.
- Volunteers are not allowed to take beneficiaries off-site without explicit permission from the program coordinator and the beneficiary's guardian (if applicable).

*Health and Hygiene*

- Volunteers are required to maintain good personal hygiene and follow all health and safety protocols.
- Volunteers are not allowed to work if they are sick or have a contagious illness.
