Volunteering in Garden Family you assist in raising the awareness and light for the World. Our garden and guesthouse, rich with Nubian tradition, family vibes, healing energy, and retreat center, welcomes travelers from all over the world. Especially those consciously on their spiritual journey. 🌍

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Content Writer: Write, edit and publish inspiring content.

Web Developer: Help develop and maintain websites.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Program Details

Exchange: Accommodation in beautiful Nubian Village of Gharb Aswan. Discounted tours. Fresh produce from our garden. A new family in Aswan.

Accommodation: A private room in a shared Nubian home with other volunteers. Breakfast and Wi-Fi are provided. The home includes five bedrooms, bathroom with shower, kitchen, communal area, open courtyard of sand, a rooftop for enjoyment and views of Aswan!

Discounted in tours, boat rides around Aswan, dinner and meals.

Activities & Shift

Garden Family
• Assist with current garden projects (digging, seeding, moving rubbish and weeds)
• Watering the different plots throughout the days (We need the most!)

* Tasks around The Garden (cleaning, moving, event assisting, helping guests - you may speak their language!), gathering wood, and tending to the nightly fire, organizing the main lounge area, helping set up for events.)
* Help with the tea business cleaning tea leaves, filling the bags, labeling the bags, setting up for media

Length: 2-3 Weeks (More for those who qualify)

Volunteer Hours: 5-6 Hours per day | 5 Days per week

Rules

* A huge plus to know much about Egyptian history, especially Nubian history, and be willing to learn (Goddess Isis, Osiris, Horus, Kandaka, Tut, Kush and Kingdom of Kush, Gharb Aswan)
* Must have a great camera or phone for content (microphone a plus!)
* Must have some kind of data plan for backup for Wi-Fi
* Bring your fast equipment for best productivity to enjoy your days in nature!
* Finish your volunteer hours and enjoy Aswan at your leisure
