Rules

- No food waste. We plan portions, label leftovers, and rework them into the next meals (soups, salads, frittatas, etc.). Please check the fridge first before opening new items.
- Leftovers policy. Cook once, eat twice: if you cook, set aside a box for tomorrow. If you see something close to its date, use it or flag it.
- Non-smokers preferred. If you do smoke, be careful as this place is at risk with wild fires. No butts on the ground.
- Animals live here. You should enjoy the company of dogs, cats, and chickens. They are part of daily life—be gentle, keep gates/doors closed, and don’t feed them without asking. (If you have allergies, please tell us in advance.)
- Ask for help early. If you’re unsure about a task, ask—we’d rather explain once than fix later. Safety and care first.
- Cross-training welcome. If you want to learn other skills (gardening, brush clearing, basic repairs), say the word—we’ll pair you on another task when possible.
- Leave spaces better. Clean as you go; end each task with a quick reset (tools back, surfaces wiped, floor swept).
