Tourist guide and explorer in Motijo, Panama

The experience

This year we starting tourist gig, and we would like you co-create it with us.yur role will be engaging with tourists, preparing them plant based food (shakes, juices,raw cakes,serve fruits), handling them kayaks and safety intro,aqua bike,potentially hikes to jungle,have an eye on beach so everything is working fine. Except that,we would need you to come with different ideas how to lure more tourist in from other small island which is hot spot:)

What you offer

22 hours of help per week

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Tour Guide: Organize and lead tours around the city.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 21 and 55 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Be from outside Panama

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

- preparing and cleaning beach and equip
- setting up food ( fruits ) for tourist if they came we have ready fruits for shakes etc
- kayak guide - how to kayak, where, etc
- same aqua bike
- electric skijet captain for riding tourist on water toys
- water trampoline guide
- hiking guide ( hikes, maintain bikes, fruit explorer.. )

Activities & Shift

Tourist engagement based, we dont have hour counter, nor given hours when to work. In essence when tourist are there you should be too, it would be partialy paid too, from profit, thus more clients is beneficial for both parties :)

Rules

- In general good work ethics
- No drinking
- No smoking
- No excessive phone stuff ( at tourist time you should be there, not in phone limbo 🙏
- No animal based derivatives on island ( meat, eggs, milk, derived snacks etc ), catching fish occasionally ( few times a week ) is ok ( but cleaning it outside of common areas )

- We would like you to live naturally and be representative of that life style for tourist too :)
