- Building / Carpentry
- Housekeeping & Hospitality
- Set up permaculture system
- Creating signs around our facilities
We will assign task tapered to your skills, talents and passions so that you can do what you love!
What you offer
15 hours of help per week
Arts:
Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.
Painting & Decorating:
Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
What you get
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Free Tours:
We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Holistic Therapies:
You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Fast Internet Access:
High-speed internet for you to work remotely
Requirements
Intermediate English
Between 18 and 60 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers
What's not included
Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
Volunteers will meet with staff prior to or upon arrival to discuss skills, interests and desired learning from volunteer service. A unique plan will be developed based on your interests and the Lilo-Dan community’s needs.
Activities & Shift
We are looking for volunteers who are eager and willing to assist in building our small community grown on the foundations of creating more joy in the world.
We need help on:
- Building / Carpentry - to help with our building projects
- Electrical wiring - to help install and repair electrical systems
- Content creation - to share our daily lives / activities that we do here
- Creating signs around our facilities - to better identify things and create positive messages
- Marketing - to create campaigns for our retreats
- Housekeeping - to prepare the accommodation for the guests
- Hospitality - to welcome, assist and brief the guests about our community
- Gardening - to help us to create a permaculture system to create a food forest
There is opportunity for you to follow your gifts and talents to help improve our community and inspire joy in others along the way!
*3-hours shift per day (9am-12pm or 2pm-5pm)
*5-days workweek (Monday-Friday except guest management)
*Feel free to use our kitchen to make your own delicious meals (sometimes we make communal meal and share the ingredient cost - not forced)
