The experience
You, as a volunteer, will assist our limited staff with the daily running of the VFV Child Sponsorship and Community Programs at the Community Center. Your support is crucial, as we only have a few dedicated staff members to manage all our welfare activities. We particularly welcome those with experience in Child Welfare, social work, or child development, though no formal training is required.

Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Description:
This fee covers essential services like airport reception, accommodation with a local host family, two meals a day (breakfast and dinner), program orientation, a Waray Waray language lesson, and 24-hour local staff support. It does not cover your airfares, insurance, or visa.

Program Details
Your role can include assisting with program operations, conducting seminars with local community groups, and potentially developing new projects based on your skills in areas like micro-financing, community development, photojournalism, marketing, or event organizing. Since new projects often emerge from volunteer initiatives, we highly value your fresh ideas and strategies. The minimum duration for this program is two weeks
Activities & Shift
Your commitment is for a minimum of two weeks. You will primarily help with tasks for the VFV Child Sponsorship and Community Programs.
Daily Activities Checklist:
Assist with the daily running of the Child Sponsorship Program.
Conduct seminars with local community groups.
Help coordinate the various social welfare projects.
Assist our social worker with program operations.
Contribute new ideas to develop new or strengthen existing projects.
Shift Schedule: 08:00 AM – 12 NOON, Monday to Friday (minimum).
Rules
Minimum age of 18 is required to volunteer.
The minimum project duration is 2 weeks, with a maximum stay of 6 months.
Volunteers are responsible for securing their own International or Domestic Airfares, Insurance, and Visa.
Accommodation will be with a local host family, assigned upon trip confirmation.
