The experience

We’re looking for animal lovers to help with our 3 friendly dogs 🐶 and 2 cats 🐱 in Rishikesh! Tasks include feeding, walking, playtime, and light housekeeping to keep the home tidy and hygienic. Enjoy peaceful days, cozy vibes, and time to explore Rishikesh’s nature and cafés while living in a warm, pet-filled home surrounded by mountains and good energy. You’ll also help with daily cleaning, watering plants, and maintaining a positive vibe.

What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Pet Sitting: Taking care of and looking after pets.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Program Details

The purpose of our volunteers is to embody and enhance the vibrant atmosphere of the hostel. Our volunteer program is designed around personal preferences, allowing you to engage in activities and events that resonate with you. This approach fosters an inclusive environment, creating unforgettable shared experiences for everyone involved.

A key role our volunteers have is being the host of the space and connecting to our guests and staff during this time, providing a wholesome, cozy atmosphere.

- Your Role & Responsibilities:

1. Welcome and assist guests: check-in/out, hostel orientation, answering questions

2. Housekeeping & upkeep: clean common rooms, dorms, bathrooms, change bed linen

3. Assist with social vibe: organise/participate in hostel events, local experiences.

4. Social media/content (optional): take photos/videos of events, guests, assist with promotion

5. Be a positive team member: friendly communication, open to learning, proactive attitude

Activities & Shift

There are various activities to choose from.
1. Kitchen Service: Help our café and kitchen team with basic prep, serving, and cleanliness. You’ll assist during breakfast and evening hours, support the cook when needed, and help maintain hygiene and good vibes in the café. No professional experience needed — just a friendly smile and willingness to learn.

2. House Keeping Supervision: Keep our hostel clean, comfortable, and beautiful. You’ll supervise or assist with room cleaning, bed setups, common area tidiness, and overall hygiene checks. We love people who notice small details and help maintain a cozy atmosphere.

3. Co- Creating Activites: Join us in bringing energy to our community! Whether it’s planning bonfires, game nights, yoga mornings, open mics, or creative art sessions — we love volunteers who bring ideas and help organize engaging experiences for guests.

4. Digital and Content Creation: Help us tell our story! If you’re good with photography, videography, reels, or writing — you can help create and post content for our Instagram and other pages. Bring your creativity, capture the hostel vibe, and help us grow online.

5. Front Desk: Be the friendly face that greets travelers! You’ll help guests with check-ins, basic questions, and make them feel comfortable during their stay. It’s a great way to practice communication and hospitality skills while meeting people from all over the world.

6. Event Management: We host gatherings, open mics, bonfire nights, and music events — and we’d love your help managing them! From setup to coordination and social media updates, you’ll make sure every event feels smooth and full of good energy.
