The experience
As an MHPSS Volunteer specialist, you’ll join our compassionate team supporting community well-being through psychosocial and emotional care. You’ll engage with refugees, youth, and survivors of trauma to strengthen community resilience, promote positive coping, and create safe, inclusive spaces for healing and growth.
What you offer
18 hours of help per week
Elderly Care:
Assisting and spending time with the elderly.

Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Requirements
Intermediate English or Intermediate French
Between 18 and 80 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
Assist in organizing MHPSS sessions and group discussions for youth, women, and survivors of GBV.
Support awareness campaigns on mental health, well-being, and peacebuilding.
Help in facilitating community dialogue on stress management, self-care, and conflict resolution.
Provide support in documenting and reporting MHPSS activities and success stories.
Collaborate with social workers, counselors, and Rehori’s community leaders to improve psychosocial care.
Activities & Shift
🗓️ Activities & Shifts (Weekly Work Plan)
Monday – Orientation & Planning
Meet with Rehori MHPSS team for weekly briefing and planning.
Review community needs and session schedule.
Prepare materials and tools for psychosocial sessions.
Tuesday – Group MHPSS Session
Facilitate or support group discussions with youth, women, or GBV survivors.
Conduct recreational therapy (art, storytelling, relaxation, or dialogue).
Document feedback and participation.
Wednesday – Community Awareness & Outreach
Join field visits and awareness campaigns on mental health, stress management, and GBV prevention.
Support in identifying vulnerable individuals for follow-up.
Thursday – Individual Support & Data Collection
Assist in individual or small group psychosocial follow-up sessions.
Help with data entry, reporting, and case documentation.
Friday – Reflection & Learning
Participate in team reflection meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
Share best practices and learning moments.
Support in preparing reports and community feedback summaries.
Saturday – Optional Cultural Exchange / Youth Engagement
Join youth recreational activities, peer dialogue, or peacebuilding games.
Cultural sharing with host and refugee communities.
Sunday – Rest Day / Personal Time
⏰ Working Hours:
4–6 hours per day (morning or afternoon shifts depending on community schedule).
📅 Days Off:
1–2 days per week (flexible depending on activity flow).
