The experience

We’re a team of two running a hands-on reforestation project tucked away in nature. It’s not a big social hub, rather a peaceful place for those who love quiet days, meaningful work, and the sounds of the jungle.

What you offer

22 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Program Details

Tasks are flexible depending on your interests and skills:

🌱 Light tasks: gardening (weeding, watering, planting), preparing vegan meals together and keeping our outdoor spaces happy. From July to September we harvest dragon fruit

💪 Physical work: clearing pasture overgrown with tall grass to prepare new areas for tree planting.

🪵 DIY & creative projects: sanding, assembling, or building small wooden structures — perfect for handy volunteers who love to tinker.

💻 Basic website creation (simple structure, pages, layout)

We try to match tasks with what you enjoy most whether that’s working with plants, wood, or food!

A stay at our place is not just about the work. It’s about sharing this wild and beautiful corner of Costa Rica with adventurous people who find joy in simplicity and nature.

Activities & Shift

Because of the warm tropical climate, we usually start early and take things at a relaxed pace. After you’ve had breakfast in your cabin, we meet for a morning coffee and briefing around 7 a.m. (or earlier if you prefer cooler hours).

Once the day begins, you’ll manage your tasks independently while we focus on our office work. You’re free to plan your own breaks and lunch, which you prepare in your cabin. Afternoons are usually reserved for relaxing, reading, exploring the property, enjoying the hammocks or joining us to do groceries or go to the beach.

You can choose your two days off per week. On workdays we share dinner together at the house which is a lovely time to unwind, chat, and exchange stories about the day.

It’s a gentle rhythm that balances meaningful contribution with plenty of personal time and is ideal for volunteers who appreciate independence, peace, and a slower way of living in nature. 🌞

Rules

A few things to know:

💚 The place is not in a busy touristy region, so not for everyone. It is however perfect for those who crave peace, nature, and authenticity over crowds.
