Program Details

Our volunteers work for 3 to 4 hours a day but we are very flexible with our daily programs and we can adjust the program depending on each day activities.

Accommodation & Meals:
🏡 Volunteers stay in Kanoni town, where there is electricity, clean water, and fresh air. Bedrooms with mattresses and bed sheets plus mosquito nets are provided.
🍲 Three meals a day are included, featuring local East African food such as matooke, cassava, beans, posho, sweet potatoes, groundnuts, and vegetables. (If you’d like something special, local restaurants are nearby at a small cost.)

Transport:
Since schools don’t have electricity and are located in rural areas, volunteers stay in town and travel to schools by boda bodas (motorbikes). We currently support three schools in the Gomba district.

Activities & Shift

We invite volunteers 18 years and older who are passionate about uplifting underprivileged children and committed to making a positive impact. 🌍

As a volunteer, you’ll:

-Work directly with children in rural schools 🏫
-Share knowledge, skills, and encouragement
-Support programs aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education, Zero Hunger, and No Poverty.

Volunteers usually teach or support children projects for about 3 - 4 hours per day (15-20 hours per week), with schedules adapted to the needs of each day. Flexibility is key.
🗓️ You’ll have 2-3 days off weekly to rest or explore the community.

Rules

Because our program involves minors, we follow clear rules to ensure safety and respect:

Children are not allowed in volunteers’ rooms
Volunteers are expected to respect our 12 simple community guidelines
Patience, kindness, and cultural sensitivity are essential
