The experience

We’re looking for friendly, motivated volunteers who would love the experience of meeting people from all over the world🌎
You’ll help in our beach café, serving food and drinks, assisting in the kitchen, and supporting daily operations.
Previous customer service experience is appreciated — what matters is a positive attitude and willingness to help🌞
Must be VERY comfortable with nature - likely to encounter some tropical animals/ insects, etc.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Malay / Malaysian

Between 23 and 56 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

Accommodation:
You’ll stay in a private room with a shared bathroom in a cozy old kampung (village) house, just a 10–15 minute walk from the café and the beach. Must be VERY comfortable with nature and its many tropical animals/ insects, etc.

Meals prepared for staff and volunteers:
Help 4 hours = 1 meal
Help 6 hours = 2 meals
Meals are provided on the days you help at the café.

Previous experience such as cooking, making drinks, washing, cleaning, singing, playing music, or painting is a big plus — creativity is always welcome here! 🎶🎨

Activities & Shift

Help is most needed when the café is busiest — usually Thursday to Sunday, and occasionally on weekdays.
Expect to help around 25 hours per week, with plenty of free time to relax, explore, and enjoy the beach 🏄‍♀️

Volunteers mainly help at the café with tasks like:

Opening and closing the café 🌅
Serving customers and being an awesome host 😄
Helping with cleaning (clearing tables, wiping counters, etc.)
Supporting the kitchen team 🍳

Rules
