Peaceful Off Grid stay with a Dog on Gavdos Island 🐕🐾

The experience

I am the guardian of any ancient and remote church on Gavdos which is a small island south of Crete in Greece. 🌅

Gavdos is a beautiful island only 6 miles wide and 8 miles long and is nearer to Africa than Athens. It is the most southern point in Europe and the warmest place in Winter.

You will have a lot of free time

I need someone can help with general housekeeping.

What you offer

7 hours of help per week

Pet Sitting: Taking care of and looking after pets.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner French

Over 18 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

European Union Passport

Program Details

A volunteer will live here in an off grid environment. Using solar power for energy needs. I am 71 years old and live alone in a remote area. For safety and general help I need a volunteer to help with daily cleaning tasks and care of my dog. 🐾
You will have a lot of free time to enjoy the island 🌅
