The NEGO Foundation Women Empowerment and Gender Equality Program is designed to uplift women and girls by equipping them with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to thrive socially, economically, and politically. This program focuses on reducing gender-based inequalities and promoting inclusive participation of women in community development.
Through community engagement, training workshops, advocacy campaigns, and mentorship initiatives, the program empowers women to become confident leaders, entrepreneurs, and agents of positive change. NEGO Foundation also works closely with community leaders, youth, and local institutions to influence mindsets and promote respect, dignity, and equal rights for all genders.
The main pillars of the program include:
Education and Leadership Development – Building confidence and leadership skills among young women and girls.
Economic Empowerment – Providing entrepreneurship training, financial literacy, and income-generating opportunities for women.
Advocacy and Awareness – Promoting gender equality, women’s rights, and ending harmful practices through campaigns and dialogues.
Protection and Support – Creating safe spaces and support networks for women affected by violence, discrimination, or exclusion.
Community Engagement – Partnering with men, boys, and stakeholders to build a culture of gender equity and shared responsibility.
