Help a warm, inclusive family in Norway with daily life
The experience
Help with cleaning and tidying inside the house, caring for our animals. Feeding, playing with and cleaning up after our cats and dog and sometimes helping in the stable. Around 4 hours a day, 5 days a week with 2 days off. You will usually be the only volunteer. A private room, meals and time to explore beautiful western Norway are included. Tasks can vary a little so flexibility is appreciated. A driving license (manual) would be helpful.

Program Details
We are a big, inclusive family living in a lively home filled with kids, animals and activity. Life here can be a little chaotic at times, but it's full of warmth and laughter. We usually host one volunteer at a time to help us keep things running smoothly.
Most of the help we need is with cleaning and tidying. Keep the house organized and general upkeep. You will also be part of caring for our animals: feeding, cleaning up after and playing with our (foster)cats and dog and occasionally helping out in the stable.
If you enjoy being part of a busy household where things don't always go according to plan but there is always kindness, good food and something to laugh about, you will fit right in.
Activities & Shift
Most of the help happens during the day. Usually between 9 and 14 when the kids are at school. That is when most of the cleaning and tidying is done. There will also be cleaning up after dinner, but the rest of the afternoon and evening are yours to enjoy. We don't run on a strict schedule, life with kids and animals is unpredictable. What we value most is good communication. If you would like to go hiking, take a day trip or need to shift some hours for something special, just talk to us. We are flexible and always willing to find a solution that works for all of us.
Rules
Our home runs on respect, responsibility and kindness. We count on your help, so we ask that you keep the agreed working hours and let us know if anything changes. We are flexible but honesty and good communication are key.
Please treat the house, familymembers and animals with care. No smoking or drugs in or around our house. Keep your own room and the shared areas tidy.
We believe in creating an open and inclusive environment where everyone feels safe and valued. You will be part of our family while you are here but will also have space for youself whenever you need it.
