The experience

The Nursing and Health Support Program is designed to provide compassionate care and promote health awareness within the community. This program focuses on supporting patients, assisting healthcare professionals, and improving the well-being of individuals in hospitals, clinics, and community settings.


What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 15 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: Volunteers contribute $15 per day to cover expenses for food, accommodation and electricity


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner English

Between 50 and 18 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Through this program, participants assist nurses, caregivers, and health professionals in hospitals, clinics, and community outreach centers. Volunteers help with basic patient care, health education, and hygiene promotion while learning essential nursing skills such as empathy, communication, and teamwork.


Activities & Shift

Assisting with basic patient care such as feeding, cleaning, or helping patients move safely.
• Supporting nurses and healthcare staff in daily routines.
• Promoting hygiene and healthy practices among patients and the community.
• Helping organize medical outreach programs, checkups, and health talks.
• Offering emotional support and companionship to patients in need.

1. Respect and Compassion:
Treat all patients, staff, and fellow volunteers with kindness, dignity, and respect, regardless of their background or condition.
2. Confidentiality:
Keep all patient information private. Do not share personal or medical details outside the healthcare environment.
3. Professional Conduct:
Always behave responsibly and ethically. Avoid gossip, arguments, or any form of disrespectful behavior in the workplace.
4. Punctuality and Commitment:
Arrive on time for all shifts, meetings, and duties. Inform your supervisor in advance if you cannot attend or need to change your schedule.
5. Cleanliness and Hygiene:
Maintain proper personal hygiene and follow all hospital or clinic cleanliness standards to prevent infection or disease transmission.
