The experience

We’re a small beachfront guesthouse on the Uruguayan coast, looking for a passionate pastry and bread lover to join us during January and February (with the possibility to extend🍽️

Your main task will be to help prepare fresh pastries, breads, and breakfast items for our guests — around 3 hours per day, leaving you plenty of free time to relax, explore, or enjoy the beach🌴

What you offer

3 hours of help per day

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner Spanish or Intermediate English

Between 21 and 50 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Activities & Shift

We’re looking for someone with experience in pastry, breadmaking, or breakfast baking, or simply someone who loves creating delicious food and knows their way around a kitchen.

You should be reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a relaxed environment with guests and animals. English and/or Spanish is helpful for communication.

You’ll be preparing baked goods for breakfast in the mornings — the rest of the day is yours to explore. Whether you want to visit local beaches, lakes, nature trails, or national parks, this is your chance to experience Uruguay’s stunning coastline at your own pace.
