The experience
Join us in the heart of rural Sri Lanka and experience eco-friendly farming while connecting with local life. Volunteers help with planting, composting, and organic cultivation, learning traditional methods that sustain communities. It’s a hands-on way to live simply, care for the earth, and be part of meaningful grassroots change.
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Program Details
Volunteers are welcomed into rural communities to experience simple, sustainable living while supporting local farming initiatives. Accommodation is arranged with host families or in community houses, including healthy local meals and a chance to share daily life with villagers.
You’ll gain hands-on learning in eco-friendly agriculture, community engagement, and cultural exchange, all within a peaceful, nature-filled setting. It’s a meaningful opportunity to slow down, learn from local wisdom, and contribute to a movement rooted in compassion and sustainability.
This experience is ideal for anyone who enjoys working outdoors, values simple living, and wants to contribute to meaningful grassroots work that promotes environmental awareness and sustainable livelihoods.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers support community farming initiatives by helping to prepare beds for planting, make compost, plant and harvest seasonal crops, and promote eco-friendly farming practices.
