What you offer

Description:
As a Social Project supporting an under-resourced education system, this fee is necessary for the sustainability and comprehensive support of the program. The cost covers essential services: Homestay Accommodation, 2 meals daily, Airport Reception, program orientation, Waray Waray language lesson, and 24-hour local staff support. This fee is paid directly to the host. Note that Airfares, Insurance, and Visa costs are not included.

Program Details
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals—TEFL certification and experience are preferred but not required. Native English speakers are preferred, but we welcome non-native speakers who can teach Mathematics or Science in English.
Your primary goal is motivational, focusing on interactive and relevant lessons, not just grammar from a textbook.
Your Duties Will Include:
Developing engaging lesson plans and conducting classes.
Working with small groups of students, acting as a language model or tutor.
Assisting the main classroom teacher with class management.
Bringing your own instructional aids (e.g., flash cards, hand puppets) is highly encouraged due to lack of school resources.
Activities & Shift
Activities:
Classroom Instruction: Conduct English classes or act as a language tutor for small groups.
Curriculum Development: Assist with developing engaging, challenging, and interactive lesson plans.
Subject Support: Assist in teaching classes in Mathematics and Science (if proficient in English).
Teaching Assistant: Work with local teachers to manage classrooms and assist individual students.
Shifts:
Hours: 4 hours per day (minimum of 20 hours per week).
Schedule: 08:00 AM – 12 Noon, Monday to Friday.
Rules
Duration: Minimum stay is 4 weeks; maximum is 6 months.
Age: Minimum age is 18.
Logistics: International or Domestic Airfares, Insurance, and Visa costs are not included and are the volunteer's responsibility.
Homestay Respect: You must respect the cultural norms and house rules of your local host family.
Materials: Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own instructional aids (e.g., hand puppets, flash cards, posters).
