The experience

We are seeking long-term volunteers with strong skills in joinery/carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work. Responsibilities include supporting various projects, property maintenance, and gardening activities.
Any skills that you have in this direction would be most welcome!


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Spanish

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

Volunteers may assist with some daily tasks, such as pet care and gardening, but the primary focus will be working on the remodeling and winterization of the cottage and different building and repairing projects as well. In exchange, we provide free accommodation in our self-converted van or our caravan, with privacy and personal space. Food and cooking supplies are provided. You'll also be part of a welcoming community with other volunteers working on various projects.


Activities & Shift

Volunteers help up to 5 hours a day. Tasks vary depending on the day, but our dogs are always on the property and need feeding. Schedules are flexible, with two days off per week arranged to fit the plans. Other projects may require different levels of physical work. Volunteers will be explained the projects on hand during the interview video call before final confirmation.


Rules

1. Keep common areas clean and respect the space.
2. The van is for assigned volunteers or us only; no other people are allowed to use or be
in the van. It must be treated with care.
3. Smoking is allowed outside only.
4. Drugs are strictly forbidden on the property.
5. Be respectful of other volunteers and maintain a positive atmosphere.
6. Please respect our schedule, as we rely on help to create time for
other tasks and projects.
