Was such a nice stay, at the end I didn't want to leave the hostel and the amazing people from all over the world! For me, the people felt like family and I learnt sooo much about the city and in general about Brasil. I had very cool experiences and got new impressions:)) Obrigado por todo!

It was my first experience of volunteering and it was truly amazing. From the moment I arrived I felt like home, welcomed by everyone as I was already part of the family. I met incredible people there, internationals as well as brazilians, and it really allowed me to fully live the city. The location is really good : less than 10 minutes walk from the hostel's beach, inside the community of Babilônia, which is great to immerse into the local culture. The place itself is welcoming, well decorated and inhabited by little friends (Mahalo 🥹). Some things could be improved but globally I recommend !

The hostel is a very hospitable space. I felt completely welcome as part of the team, and able to help them achieve their content creation goals. Overall, I would recommend!

Absolutely amazing hostal! 🇧🇷 I can't recommend it enough 🔥✨️ It is situated opposite the community centre (which attracts the biggest community lead events in the favela). Fantastic Staff (Gio, Gustavo & Raf) great showers, lockers, beds and I felt very safe with Mahalou protecting us too 🐶. So so close to the hostel beach and generous breakfast everyday🥞 I will defintely be back to visit+volunteer more in the hostal soon! If you want to be part of the more true Brasilian community (less touristy) this is the spot for you! Tysm for welcoming me to Brasil 🥰🫶🏽 eu te amo 💕🩷

Uma experiência realmente gratificante. O pessoal do staff é super tranquilo e o clima o hostel é leve e acolhedor. O café da manhã é ótimo e bem completo, e a localização é excelente — pertinho de Copacabana e de vários pontos turísticos. Recomendo muito esse voluntariado!

Me voluntariar no Maresias foi uma experiência incrível, me conectei com pessoas do Brasil todo e principalmente de fora. O trabalho é bem organizado, existe uma escala que te ajuda a se planejar e sobre a localização é bem perto da praia o hostel e um ponto importante a se falar é que a região é SUPER SEGURA para andar independente do horário. Recomendo principalmente para quem quer viver o Rio de Janeiro.

Adorei ter minha primeira experiência de voluntariado no hostel 💚 aprendi muito, sempre com muita amabilidade. A equipe é um amor, Adelaide, Luciana, Gastón, Tati e Gaia foram super gentis comigo, vou sentir falta deles! As tarefas foram bem explicadas, a localização é ótima e o bairro muito legal, o hostel tem um ambiente agradável para socializar e praticar idiomas. O café da manhã é delicioso, e os animais sempre fazem companhia, são os mais fofos 🥰 muito obrigada Rafa e Gio por tudo, sempre foram muito atenciosos e me ajudaram em qualquer situação
