The experience

Join Scholars & Roots Ghana in empowering education and culture!
We’re looking for creative volunteers to help build our website, create social media content, and boost our online visibility. Your skills in social media, or web design will help us reach more people and share our community impact across Ghana and beyond.

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Content Writer: Write, edit and publish inspiring content.

Web Developer: Help develop and maintain websites.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fluent English

Between 18 and 69 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Scholars & Roots Ghana is a new NGO dedicated to cultural exchange, developing communities and providing children with quality education. We work from the ground-up, partnering with schools in our immediate community to make a difference today. Activities & Shift

Our team is seeking volunteers skilled in web design and digital storytelling to help us enhance our online presence.

Volunteers for this position would be able to assist with any of the following tasks:

- Build a professional and accessible website, and optimize this website for search engines.
- Write/create website content.
- Build a social media presence on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Manage / market NGO's presence on above social medias
- Write stories about our community programs.
- Improve how we present our NGO online to attract donors and global partners.


This role is perfect for those passionate about digital outreach and online presentation.
