Help Rebuild a Peaceful Desert Guesthouse in a Berber Village 🌞

The experience

Program Details

Salam! We are Karim and Rachid, and our family warmly invites you to experience desert life in the Berber city of Tagounite 🇲🇦☀️

Last year, strong rains and floods destroyed large parts of our mud-brick guesthouse. Now we’re focused on rebuilding it with love and community spirit — and we’d love your help!

You’ll learn how to make adobe bricks, build walls, and restore the house using traditional Berber techniques.
We also have a small family farm where we grow dates, grains, and plants for our animals. With more rain, we hope to see the fields come back to life again. 🌾

Recently, with the help of past volunteers, we started a composting project — something very new for our area. We’re learning and experimenting together! 🌱

When not working, you’ll have plenty of time to explore Tagounite and the desert, enjoy Berber tea, local cuisine, music, and traditions, or simply relax under the vast desert sky full of stars ✨

In our home, you won’t just be a guest — you’ll be family. We believe in equality, kindness, and respect, and welcome everyone with open hearts. Here, you’ll find peace, learning, and genuine connection. ❤️

Come experience the magic of the Sahara, the beauty of Berber culture, and the strength of a community rebuilding together.
