We are seeking a proactive and empathetic volunteers to lead the planning, implementation, and long-term investigation of our Community Feeding Project.
What you offer

Description:
$950 USD per 2 weeks
$120 USD per week thereafter
The fee covers the comprehensive cost of the volunteer's stay, including: Accommodation with a local family, 2 meals daily, 24-hour in-country local staff support, program orientation, and the Waray Waray language lessons.

Program Details
our goal is twofold: to provide immediate relief through supplementary feeding menus for 35 pre-school children and to pursue long-term solutions for hunger by establishing self-sustaining community methods.
You should expect to dedicate your time to tasks that require organization, budget management, and highly interactive communication with local community members.
Your Accommodations:
You will be staying in the general Tacloban area and a safe, verified local host family homestay will be assigned to you once the trip is confirmed.
Included for your Stay:
Airport Reception, Accommodation with a local host family, 2 meals a day (breakfast and dinner), program orientation, Waray Waray language lesson, and 24-hour local staff support.
Activities & Shift
Activities:
- Planning & Budgeting: Create and budget supplementary feeding menus for up to 35 pre-school children.
- Monitoring: Monitor and analyze clientele growth data to assess program effectiveness.
- Education: Organize and lead interactive seminars with local mothers to educate them on reducing salt/sugar and increasing vegetable consumption.
- Research & Development: Investigate and plan long-term solutions, such as organizing community feeding kitchens and plans for self-sustainable communities.
- Advocacy: Make efforts to change community attitudes toward the importance of different food groups.
Shifts:
- Hours: 4 hours per day (minimum of 20 hours per week).
- Schedule: 08:00 AM – 12 Noon, Monday to Friday. This schedule ensures afternoons are free for language lessons, prep work, and personal time.
Rules
Visa Requirement: You are required to apply for and secure your own travel visa to the Philippines. Please note that Worldpackers exchanges are for collaboration, not employment.
Homestay Respect: You must adhere to the house rules and cultural norms of your local host family.
No Selling: Volunteers are not permitted to sell any products or services to the host community.
Alcohol/Drug Policy: Use or possession of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
