The experience
Our NGO, founded in 2025, is dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children through education, care, and empowerment programs. Volunteers help teach literacy, support childcare, prepare meals, and organize creative activities. We also run women’s empowerment initiatives, promote hygiene and environmental awareness, and aim to provide safe shelters for vulnerable children.
What you offer
4 hours of help per day
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Arts:
Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Intermediate English or Intermediate Swahili
Between 18 and 80 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
1. Current Programs
Bright Power Foundation runs a variety of programs that address the immediate needs of
disadvantaged children while also creating long-term solutions. Our programs include:
a) Education and Child Support
Teaching children basic literacy, numeracy, and other important subjects.
Offering extracurricular learning through play, storytelling, and creative activities.
Supporting children with school materials such as books, stationery, and uniforms.
b) Childcare and Daily Needs
Babysitting and providing day-to-day care for children, especially those from vulnerable
families.
Preparing healthy meals and ensuring proper nutrition for children.
Promoting play as a tool for learning, creativity, and emotional growth.

Supporting women through skills training, workshops, and counseling.
Encouraging women to participate in income-generating activities.
Promoting gender equality by giving women the resources and opportunities they need

Maintaining a healthy, safe, and child-friendly space where children can learn and grow.
Teaching children about hygiene, sanitation, and environmental protection.

Building Shelter for Children
Developing plans to provide safe housing and shelters for vulnerable children, ensuring
they have a secure place to stay
