Teach English to Tibetan Students and experience nomadic life🌿✨


The experience

We’re looking for a native English speaker (preferably with an American or Canadian accent) to help create engaging English-learning videos and teach young Tibetan adults online. 🎥

I am a nomadic Tibetan, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet my yak-herding family on the vast Tibetan steppe. 🐂🌾 The area is rich in festivals, parades, monasteries, temples, and breathtaking mountain scenery — a truly unique experience at 13,000 ft in Litang


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Fluent English

Over 18 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Classes take place five evenings a week (3 hours per night), leaving plenty of free time to explore and immerse yourself in Tibetan culture. 🌏

If you’re creative, curious, and passionate about cultural exchange, your contribution will make a real difference. 🌟


We’ll collaborate to produce educational language videos (on your schedule) and teach English online in the evenings, five nights a week.

Your input, ideas, and creativity are highly valued. The students are eager to learn — not just the English language, but also about Western culture, customs, and ways of thinking.

Activities & Shift

Evening teaching (online): 3 hours per day, 5 days a week
Flexible daytime: Create videos, explore, rest, or enjoy the local area

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to:

Visit local monasteries, temples, and festivals 🕍
Meet local families and yak herders 🐂
Explore nearby areas by bus, taxi, or electric bike 🚲
