The experience
As a volunteer Community Manager, you’ll help amplify our project through social media and digital platforms. Your work will let more people know about our local initiatives, connect with our mission, promote responsible travel, local culture, and support environmental conservation. Through your content and voice, you'll help build connections between responsible travelers and local communities.
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Content Writer:
Write, edit and publish inspiring content.
Video Making:
Create, edit and publish digital videos.
Social Media:
Maintain and update social media channels.

2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Requirements
Beginner Spanish or Intermediate English
Between 18 and 80 years old
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
Create engaging visual content: photos, videos, stories, posts.
Manage social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) with regular posts.
Interact with the online community: respond to comments/messages, run small interactive activities.
Document what happens on-site: tours, workshops, community events, etc., to produce authentic content.
Help design small awareness or promotional campaigns (e.g. for local events, cultural workshops).
Join the local team in in-person activities to capture materials (photos, videos, stories, testimonials).
Activities & Shift
Review messages/comments from followers or guests.
Brainstorm or plan content for the coming days (posts, stories, short videos).
Capture content (photos or video) if there is a local event or special moment.
Edit visual materials: images, short video clips, graphics.
Publish content and monitor reactions: likes, comments, shares.
Coordinate with the team to gather feedback on content and see what followers enjoy most.
Time for rest or exploration is also part of the day—to keep creativity alive.
Rules
Creativity and enthusiasm: good ideas and readiness to try new things.
Willingness to learn digital tools (basic photo/video editing, design apps).
Proactivity: seeing opportunities, suggesting ideas, stepping in to help.
Reliability with deadlines, communication, and commitments.
Good communication skills, empathy and openness, being able to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
Language skills: [Spanish / English / others] depending on context. Being bilingual or multilingual is a plus.
