Responsibilities
Organize and lead 2–4 social events per week (e.g. pub crawl, karaoke, BBQ, game night, aurora walk, pancake brunch)
Create a fun and inclusive atmosphere for all guests
Promote upcoming events around the hostel and on social media
Assist reception with check-ins and guest interaction when needed
What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.
Music:
Perform to entertain guests, children or local communities.
Party Promoter:
Help organise and promote parties and social activities.
What you get
3 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Free Tours:
We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!
Free Hiking Tours:
We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Requirements
Fluent Polish or Intermediate Japanese
Between 20 and 40 years old
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)
Be from outside Norway
European Union Passport
What's not included
Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
Stay with us in a dorm in exchange for helping guests with their needs. 4 days per week is a good amount, but we dont mind if you want to make projects or do more.
Activities & Shift
Pancake and waffle nights, karaoke, dressup party, walking around town, sledding
Rules
Be a normal happy person who likes to chat with people and have fun. If you want to explore tromso and invite people to do so, please - you`re perfect.
Just don`t over drink, wake up sleeping guests, or bring strangers home please
