Had the most gorgeous time in Porto at the hostel. The work is incredibly straightforward (and fun) and the hours are very generous. Mel is a fantastic hostel manager who is fun and fair. She is incredibly communicative and supportive which is something I really appreciated. The hostel location is incredible and the facilities of the building are some of the nicest I've experienced. If you're a fun-loving, social, positive party person, I would highly recommend this experience.

I had a super fun experience volunteering at the hostel. There was always new laughs to be had with the other volunteers and guests. The 3 days off per week was great and with the exception of night shift it never really felt like you were working. I made some great friends and felt so supported by Mel and the receptionists 🫶. If you want 5 weeks of partying and letting loose, then this experience is for you.

I had a wonderful 5 weeks in Porto❤️ the hostel Ribiera is the most social hostel I have ever stayed in and I am so grateful to have met such incredible people from all over the world and to have found a second family amongst the other volunteers. The schedule is busy but extremely fun and I already miss our little family, the hostel, and Porto immensely. Highly recommend :)

I had an amazing time at the hostel in Porto. The hostel is really beautiful and comfy, the organization was very good, and the tasks were really easy to do. I got to meet wonderful people from everywhere while improving my English skills. Mel is such an awesome host; she will be there if you need her. I really recommend everyone to volunteer there. Porto is a really beautiful city, I won't forget my experience there.

This experience was one of the best worldpackers exchanges I've had so far. The team, the hostel itself and the city Porto were truly amazing and I enjoyed a majority of my time there (except while I was sick) and am grateful for all the amazing people I could meet. The organization is incredible and you can really feel why this hostel is the second best in Portugal. The shifts often didn't even felt like work and you could socialize a lot with guests while also enjoying the free activities every day and also going out a lot of times. Don't miss your chance to volunteer here!

This hostel is nonstop busy, social, and fun, even in the middle of winter. I had a great time and met almost too many people to remember. The staff is great, the tasks are more than manageable, and my team was incredible.

This experience in the hostel was good, this was my second volunteer at the hostel (the first one was in Barcelona, super nice too!). The hostel is well located near the main attractions, the work is for party animal people, the staff is lovely and super friendly, and you can meet guests from all over the world and practice your English! It was amazing to meet so many nice and different people from all around the world! The staff that work there and also the other volunteers i worked with where really like a family to me. You get to meet a lot of Porto, wich is a beautiful and lovely city! The work can be a little tiring and overwhelming sometimes, because of the schedule and the hours but you can have a lot of fun at the same time. I recommend this volunteer if you want to practice new languages, if you like socializing and interacting with people ! I have beautiful memories from the time i spent at One fam! Thank you

My time at the hostel was truely one of the most memorable experiences I have had and I couldn't have asked for a better team of volunteers to share the experience with! We had amazing guests, the work and the hours were fair and dinners were great! The location of the hostel was very close to bars, cafes, and also the best lookout in Porto was in walking distance. I felt welcomed as soon I arrived to the hostel and would love to return some day :) if you get the chance to volunteer here, do it!! You won't regret it!

My first volunteering experience in the hostel in Porto was the best one that I could ever ask for. since the first moment I arrived everyone made me feel so welcome and I got along with everyone. the manager, Mel is always open to chat and to discuss changes, she made sure everyone was comfortable in order to get the best experience ever out of everyone and the schedule was exactly as I was expecting it, the working hours were always respected and I had plenty of time to visit portugal.
