Join our team in beautiful Ninh Binh! We’re looking for outgoing, responsible volunteers to help behind the bar and front of house at The Banana Tree Hostel and Chookie’s Beer Garden. You’ll serve drinks, chat with guests, and help create a fun, friendly atmosphere. Perfect for social travelers who love connecting with people and bringing good vibes to the bar!

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

Join our fun and social team in Ninh Binh! We’re looking for friendly volunteers to help with our bar and front-of-house service at The Banana Tree Hostel and Chookie’s Beer Garden. Depending on your experience, you might work behind the bar making drinks or helping on the floor serving guests, clearing tables, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Most shifts are in the evening, when the bar is lively and full of travelers. We love volunteers who bring good energy, enjoy chatting with guests, and work well as part of a team. Flexibility is key — you may help in either the hostel bar or beer garden depending on the night.

Activities & Shift

You’ll help with bar service and front-of-house duties in either The Banana Tree Hostel bar or Chookie’s Beer Garden, depending on the night. Tasks may include taking orders, serving food and drinks, chatting with guests, clearing tables, and keeping the bar area tidy.

Most shifts are in the evening (around 4–5 hours) when the bar is at its busiest. We create the schedule weekly and keep it flexible so everyone gets time to relax and explore Ninh Binh.

Teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude are key — and if you have bartending experience, that’s a big plus!

Rules

All general hostel rules apply to volunteers. We ask everyone to be respectful with our staff, guests, and shared spaces. This is a fun, social place, and we love when volunteers bring good energy and teamwork to the atmosphere!
