Help us to teaching the kids in Zanzibar

The experience

Join us in Zanzibar and make a difference by helping teach children at our local school. Volunteers can support lessons in English, Math, and other basic subjects, encouraging creativity and curiosity in the classroom. No teaching degree require just patience, positivity, and a passion for education and cultural exchange.

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 10 Per day

Fee pays for: Materials for volunteer activities and Donation to project

Description: The contribution will be covering internet, foods breakfast and lunch, and electricity.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Beginner English and Beginner English

Between 18 and 60 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

United States visa or citizenship

Join our friendly and vibrate school community and help us make a difference in the lives of children while experiencing local culture and learning new skill.

Activities & Shift

As a volunteer, your main responsibilities include:
.Assisting teachers in baby class, pre-school, KG1, KG2 and lower primary classes.
.Organizing and participating in educational games, arts and crafts, ad storytelling sessions
.Supporting children in learning English and basic numeracy skills.
.Helping with school events, cultural activities, and outdoor learning projects.
.Participating i workshops or school courses offered by the school (English, childcare, cultural skills)
SHIFT
Typical shift 4 hours per day, Monday to Thursday
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Volunteers are welcome to join cultural activities or community events during free time.

Rules

.Respect all children, teachers, and school staff.
.Follow school guidelines and safety instructions at all times.
.Take care of school property and materials; report any damages immediately.
.Maintain punctuality and commitment to your agreed volunteer schedule.
.Smoking, alcohol, or illegal substances are strictly prohibited on campus.
.Volunteers are responsible for their own travel insurance and health.
