What you offer
30 hours of help per week
Photography:
Take, edit and provide amazing photos.
Social Media:
Maintain and update social media channels.
Video Making:
Create, edit and publish digital videos.
Party Promoter:
Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Requirements
Intermediate English or Intermediate Hindi
Between 18 and 33 years old
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details
We welcome volunteers who love travel, people and community life. You’ll help with reception, cleaning, organizing fun activities and creating a friendly vibe for guests. We also encourage creative minds to support photography, content creation or hostel events. In return, enjoy free stay, local experiences and a peaceful mountain lifestyle surrounded by nature.
You don’t need to be an expert in any task, but we ask you to be open, adaptable, and willing to try.

Activities & Shift

Shifts:(flexible)
Preferable Shift Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
You’ll work 5 hours a day, 6 days a week, leaving plenty of time to explore the hills, waterfalls, and cafes of Kodaikanal!
Rules
If you leave the property, inform management or leave a message in the volunteer group chat.
Respect your boundaries and those of guests – be friendly, but remember you are a team member first.
Take responsibility for your own space – your dorm and personal area must always be tidy, clean and organized. Everyone shares the same facilities, so washrooms should also be kept clean after use. This ensures equality – there is no superior, everyone contributes.
Keep shared areas (dorms, kitchen, washrooms) clean and tidy.
No excessive drinking or disruptive behavior on property.
No drugs or illegal substances.
Always ask permission before using hostel property items (bikes, instruments, kitchen equipment, etc.).
Be flexible – sometimes tasks may change depending on hostel needs.
Respect quiet hours (especially in dorms).
Support and encourage your fellow volunteers – we are a team.
If you have any idea, please share it in the group. The team can then discuss and, if
possible, implement it.
Additional Policies:
Volunteer Check-in Process: Orientation, property tour and introduction to staff will be handled by the manager.
Behavior with Guests: Do not accept money or create separate deals with guests. All
matters must go through management.
Emergency Contact: In case of accidents or emergencies, inform management
immediately. Emergency contacts will be provided during orientation.
Cultural Respect: We welcome volunteers and guests from all around the world. Please respect cultural differences, local traditions, and personal boundaries.
