The experience

Join the team at Plaza Inn Hostel & Rooms in the heart of Historic Faro, Portugal! We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and organized volunteer to be the face of our hostel, ensuring every guest has a memorable and positive experience in the beautiful Algarve region.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate Portuguese or Intermediate English

Between 18 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

Front Desk Management: Warmly welcoming guests upon arrival (check-ins) and assisting them efficiently at departure (check-outs).

Concierge & Local Expert: Sharing your enthusiasm for Faro! Recommending the best local restaurants, hidden spots, bars, and advising on transport and local tours.

Communication & Reservations: Answering phone calls, responding to email inquiries, and handling basic reservation updates.

Creating Community: Engaging with guests in common areas to ensure a comfortable and lively atmosphere, and helping to foster connections between travelers.

Tidiness: Maintaining a clean and organized reception and lobby area.
