Childcare and helping out on our semi rural property

The experience

Come help out on our gorgeous property & have your own room or self contained caravan to live in! We are looking for some help with our energetic 3 year old on our rural property on the edge of Auckland. We recieve the keys to our new home mid December and need help settling in. Open to an individual or couple.
We live on a two hectare property only 30 minutes from the centre of Auckland city central in New Zealand. 15min from a local surf spot

What you offer

16 hours of help per week

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 22 and 70 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

You will either be staying in the main house with us in your own room, or in our caravan. You will be helping us out with our energetic, fun, mischievous big 3 year old.
We (Grace and Johan) live in the main house with our lovely son.
We are looking for one or two people who can come and help us on our property and help out with our son.

Activities & Shift

As we will have recently moved we have loads of organising and unpacking to do. We're flexible with when hours are done but would arrange with any volunteers for help on days we're off work and evenings. Tasks would be helping organise and move in and entertaining our son so we can be productive.

Rules

We expect people to be respectful of the space they are staying in, of us, and of the property. And we will of course be respectful of you. We have a young child, so we like to keep a peaceful environment and have quiet nights. So if you are hoping to party this is probably not the place for you. We expect you to do the hours you have agreed to, but no more. We don't want smokers.
