Program Details
Join our family in the peaceful Italian countryside and become part of a warm, welcoming home. As a volunteer, you’ll help with a variety of household tasks that change with the seasons and daily needs—from cleaning and gardening to repairs. You’ll enjoy homemade meals, comfortable accommodation, and the chance to experience authentic rural life. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner based on what we cook for the family; if you want extra snacks or specific items, you’ll need to purchase them yourself, but I’m happy to drive you to the market.
The location is quiet and surrounded by nature, with limited public transport, but we offer rides to the market or nearby towns when scheduled. Whether you want to relax, explore nearby villages, or simply enjoy a slower pace of life, this program offers a meaningful and flexible way to contribute and connect.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers are warmly invited to help with a variety of household tasks that change with the seasons and what’s needed at the moment. These can include gentle cleaning, gardening, organizing, and simple repairs around the house. The tasks are easy to manage, don’t require heavy physical effort, and are always safe. You’re welcome to take breaks whenever you need.
We usually work around 25 hours per week, spread over 5 days, with 2 days off for rest and exploration. The schedule is flexible and we’ll happily arrange it together to suit both your needs and ours.
Rules
Our home is a cozy and peaceful place where we all help each other keep things tidy and comfortable. If you enjoy the meals we prepare, it would be wonderful if you could kindly help by putting your dishes in the dishwasher and keeping your room neat and welcoming.
I’d love to show you around the nearby area, and while I can’t do this every day, we’ll happily plan outings together so we can enjoy them fully.
The most important thing is to keep open, gentle, and honest communication—this helps us all feel comfortable and enjoy a warm, friendly atmosphere.
