Join our community development program in the Volta Region of Ghana (Amedzofe), and work with local residents on projects that strengthen village life.
You can support health, environment, youth programs, small business, or technology initiatives, depending on your skills and interests.
If you have your own project idea, we’ll help you make it happen. Creativity and initiative are highly encouraged!
What you offer
24 hours of help per week
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Elderly Care:
Assisting and spending time with the elderly.
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Additional fee required
Amount:
US$ 200
Per week
Description:
This covers your private room, two daily meals, and basic utilities.
Volunteers cover their own travel (pickup from Accra can be arranged).
We’ll provide an invitation letter to support your visa application (and extensions).
For extended stays and couples sharing a room, a reduced weekly fee can be arranged.
Projects that require extra materials or resources may include a small additional cost to cover these expenses.

You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details
Our Community Initiative program in Amedzofe and the surrounding areas connects volunteers with local residents to support projects that strengthen daily life in the village.
Depending on your background and interests, you might get involved in health education, youth empowerment, environmental sustainability, women’s groups, small business support, or social development projects.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own ideas — whether organizing workshops, launching a small community project, or supporting ongoing local initiatives. You’ll gain hands-on experience in grassroots development while immersing yourself in the vibrant culture of this mountain community.

To maintain a safe, respectful, and positive experience for all, volunteers are asked to follow these simple guidelines:
Respect local culture, customs, and dress codes.
Be reliable, proactive, and communicate clearly about plans or challenges.
Keep accommodations and shared areas tidy.
No alcohol during community activities. No drugs permitted.
Be open-minded, adaptable, and collaborative.
Work respectfully with local leaders, residents, and other volunteers.
