The experience

Join our community education program in Amedzofe, and help students learn through your skills and interests.

If you have a special skill or project idea — such as tech workshops or a small community initiative — we’ll help you make it happen. Creativity and initiative are highly encouraged!

You’ll work alongside local teachers and community members, making a lasting impact while experiencing Ghanaian culture in a welcoming mountain village.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 200 Per week

Description: This covers your private room, two daily meals, and basic utilities. Volunteers cover their own travel (pickup from Accra can be arranged). We’ll provide an invitation letter to support your visa application (and extensions). For extended stays and couples sharing a room, a reduced weekly fee can be arranged. Projects that require extra materials or resources may include a small additional cost to cover these expenses.


What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

Our volunteer program in Amedzofe, Ghana is a flexible, community-based initiative that supports local schools and youth programs through education, technology, and cultural exchange.

Volunteers are encouraged to share their own skills — whether in teaching, technology, sports, health education, art, or community development. We tailor your placement based on your background and interests.

Beyond classroom teaching, volunteers can help with after-school clubs, organize workshops, or support local improvement projects. You’ll live and work closely with the community, gaining an authentic experience of daily life in one of Ghana’s most scenic mountain villages.

Schedules are flexible — you can collaborate with local teachers to adjust activities to your interests and the school’s needs.


Rules

To ensure a safe, respectful, and positive experience for everyone, volunteers are asked to follow a few simple guidelines:

Respect local culture and customs, including dress codes and community values.

Be reliable and proactive — communicate any schedule changes or challenges early.

Keep accommodations clean and tidy.

No alcohol during school hours or community activities. No drugs allowed.

Be open-minded and adaptable.

Collaborate kindly with local teachers, students, and other volunteers.
