The experience

Join our creative restaurant and art gallery in Vieques! We’re looking for a proactive person to help keep our kitchen clean and organized — washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and assisting the team when needed. Be part of a friendly local crew surrounded by nature and good energy. Breakfast and lunch included. $10/day contribution for meals and lodging.

What you offer

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Amount: US$ 10 Per day

Description: Volunteers contribute $10 per day to cover accommodation and meals (breakfast and lunch).

What you get

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Surf lessons: Take free surf classes at the local beaches.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Program Details

Cundeamor is a creative restaurant and art gallery surrounded by nature in Vieques, Puerto Rico.
We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking volunteer to support our kitchen team with cleaning and organization.

Activities & Shift

Around 5 hours per day, 6 days a week, with 1 days off to explore the island.

Washing dishes and utensils during and after service.
Cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and work areas.
Organizing dishes, glasses, and tools.
Maintaining the storage area organized — restocking, cleaning shelves, and checking supplies.
Occasionally helping with basic prep or other tasks depending on the day.

Rules

Volunteers stay in a shared house with other volunteers. The house has a kitchen, one bathroom, and common areas that everyone must help keep clean and organized. Respect and consideration for others are essential.

We ask for responsibility, independence, and good communication. Volunteers should be able to follow directions and complete tasks without constant supervision.

Cundeamor is a creative restaurant and gallery, so the work environment can vary — some days are calm, others are busy. Flexibility and teamwork are key.
• No drugs or excessive alcohol use are allowed on the property.
• Quiet hours start at 10:00 pm.
• Keep your space tidy and respect shared items.
• Notify in advance if you can’t attend a work shift.
• Meals are served at specific times; please respect the schedule.
• One days off per week — enjoy the island and recharge.

We love having people who bring good energy, creativity, and care to our space. This is a collaborative project — not a hotel or resort — and everyone contributes to keeping the vibe positive and the place running smoothly.
