The hostel is a Hotel that have shared dorms, but isnt a hostel. Guests are families, workers.. Some staff were very helpful, other not much. I guess they also don't get a proper training, so they don't know how to deal with volunteers. My advice is to have a person to welcome the volunteers and explain the main stuff. I got lucky, my first shift was w/ other volunteer who walked me through the tasks. For me this should be about meeting new people/culture but sometimes I felt like a worker who was there to do what they dont like. Accommodation is nice. Mudrike and Jirka were great! Any doubts msg me

My first volunteer experience with Worldpackers. Not a typical Volunteer experience. Its more like you are a waiter for the hostel which feels more like a huge low budget hotel. 750 beds here. If you have done waitering, thats basicly the tasks. Assistant of the reception. One strange experience was how differently you were treated all the time. Suddenly like a "worker" in the next minute like a guest. Hard to feel any part of the team, when there are no teamspirit in the workers. Big thanks to Karin and Moudrie in the kithen for trying to keep the teamspirit up. They both is kind and great

If you are looking for a place to stay in Copenaghe the rooms are very nice and the beds are comfortable. But about the working experience Im very disappointed. The staff that works here has the worst energy I ever see. I stayed here for 3 months and a half, the manager Amalia never ever said good morning, in 24 days! Super bad vibes every day. I only connected with Karin a girl from Slovakia really nice. Also the volunteers I meet were very cool.

The work wasn't hard at all, and the hostel team was friendly. Most of them guided us very well on how to help. The fellow volunteers were nice, but I must say that the selection of some volunteers was a bit unusual. Some were only allowed to stay for one week, while others were scheduled for two weeks but left after just three days. This wasn't the fault of the management, but perhaps the volunteer selection process could be reconsidered to reduce frequent changes within the group. Nevertheless, it was a great experience and a wonderful way to explore the city and meet new people.

I had a great experience volunteering at the hostel. The tasks were clear and simple. The staff was always helpful and great to get along with. There are standard hostel accommodations that make it really easy to get to know the other volunteers! It is in a great location that is 20 minutes away from the center with easy access to parks and the water. If you are traveling on a budget, be sure to ask if there are dinners available during your stay because they are not always going on.

We had an amazing time at the hostel. Together with the staff and the other volunteers the work which was demanding sometimes was still a lot of fun and went by really fast. You can also ask for specific days off if you plan on doing something. Our room was really comfortable although we were seven people in the room and it wasn't always 100% clean. All in all, we can definitely recommend this place. The work can be a little stressful sometimes but it is definitely manageable. We are really grateful for the time we got to spend here and for all the people we got to meet. <3

It was an amazing experience staying at the hostel! The room where the volunteers stayed it was perfect, with two bathrooms and everything that you could need. The working hours were respected and I think the schedule is perfect to discover the city, you work three days a week, so you have four days free to do anything you want. Special consideration to Karin that takes care that you are taking your breaks and that you are feeling comfortable with the tasks!

I recently completed my first volunteering experience at the hostel it was fantastic! The hostel is well-maintained and offers a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and supportive, making me feel like part of the team from day one. My responsibilities included helping with guest cleaning common areas, and assisting in the kitchen. It was a great way to meet travelers from all over the world and share stories. The location is also a big plus, situated in a vibrant neighborhood with easy access to public transport and local attractions.

This was my first worldpackers experience and it was very good. The place is well located, good and big amounts of food and I had a very comfortable bed, in a room with enough space for me and the other volunteers. I was lucky a got a super sweet group of girls to share the room. Amalia was very helpful whenever I had a question. Karin (in charge of reception) and Mudrick (Kitchen manager) are excellent people to work with. Also, Migle, Stephanie, Alberto. They understand you are a volunteer so they take the pressure of you, giving you light work. I recommend to try it. Copenhagen <3
