Maintenance Volunteer

The experience

Are you good with your hands and love fixing things? Come join our team as a Maintenance Volunteer at our friendly and laid-back hostel! We’re looking for someone with basic handyman skills to help us keep everything running smoothly for our guests.

You'll be helping with general repairs, painting, fixing furniture, checking plumbing or electrical issues (basic), and making sure our spaces stay functional and beautiful.

What you offer

24 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

4 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Intermediate English

Over 18 years old

Only welcomes couples and partners (does not accept solo volunteers)

Program Details

Our maintenance volunteer program helps keep the hostel safe, comfortable, and welcoming for all guests. Volunteers will work alongside our team to take care of small repairs, routine upkeep, and general improvements around the property. It’s a great opportunity to learn basic maintenance skills while enjoying a fun and social hostel environment.

Activities & Shift

Daily inspections of common areas to identify small repairs or issues.

Assisting with minor plumbing, painting, or electrical tasks under supervision.

Helping to keep the maintenance tools organized and clean.

Supporting general upkeep of outdoor and indoor spaces.

Shifts: 3 shifts per week, with 4 days off to explore the area.

Rules

Arrive on time and be reliable for scheduled shifts.

Report any damages or safety concerns immediately.

Take good care of tools and return them after use.

Keep a positive attitude and respect other staff, volunteers, and guests.

No alcohol or substance use during work hours.
