Program Details
We're a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and empowering communities across Tanzania. Our programs focus on key areas such as healthcare, education, social support, and community development. Through volunteering, partnerships, and outreach initiatives, we aim to improve access to essential services, enhance well-being, and create lasting positive change in the lives of individuals and communities.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers may engage in a variety of activities depending on their skills and the program focus area, including:
Healthcare: Assisting medical staff, providing therapy support, health education, community health outreach
Education: Supporting teachers, facilitating learning activities, helping in classrooms, tutoring
Social Support: Counseling, emotional support, empowerment programs, community outreach initiatives
Shifts:
Volunteers are expected to commit to flexible shifts, which can be tailored based on availability and program needs. Typical shifts are 5 hours a day, and may occur on weekdays or weekends, with opportunities for longer-term or project-based involvement.
Rules
To ensure a safe, productive, and respectful environment for everyone, all volunteers are expected to:
1.) Commit to the agreed schedule and notify the coordinator in advance if unable to attend.
2.) Respect all community members, staff, and fellow volunteers, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
3.) Follow program guidelines and instructions provided by supervisors.
4.) Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information about community members.
5.) Dress appropriately according to the activity or program requirements.
6.) Act responsibly and safely, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others.
7.) Report any concerns or incidents to program coordinators immediately.
8.) Avoid engaging in activities outside your assigned role without permission from coordinators.
