The experience
We’re starting a small off-grid eco-project near Almodôvar, Portugal. Volunteers can help with gardening, building simple structures, taking care of animals and creating community spaces. We work and learn together, share skills, enjoy nature and simple living. Ideal for people who like hands-on work, outdoors and cultural exchange.
What you offer
4 hours of help per day
Animal Care:
Help look after and take care of animals.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

2 days off per week
Tent:
You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Program Details
Our small off-grid project near Almodôvar is focused on sustainable living, permaculture and community building. Volunteers help us grow food, care for animals and create simple eco-friendly structures. We work side by side, exchange skills and enjoy a relaxed, nature-based lifestyle in the beautiful Alentejo region.
Activities & Shift
Typical tasks include gardening, planting and harvesting, composting, building or repairing small structures, feeding and caring for chickens, and keeping communal areas tidy. We usually work 4–5 hours in the morning, Monday to Friday, with afternoons free to relax or explore. Tasks are varied and adjusted to your skills and interests.
Rules
We ask for respect toward nature, animals and people. Please keep communal areas clean, avoid excessive noise at night and communicate openly if you need anything. Smoking is allowed only in designated areas due to fire risk. We encourage a cooperative and positive atmosphere and welcome new ideas.
