The experience

We are looking for someone to help us with cleaning our bed and breakfast. Generally 3 hours per day. There's usually something else that can be done such as shoveling some snow or helping cook a meal. Hope you have skills with painting or fixing things this is always very helpful. If you work more than the work exchange hours and you have a good work ethic we are happy to pay for any additional hours worked

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate French

Over 20 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We ask staff to write down the hours that they have worked so that they can be sure that the exchange of 25 hours has not been exceeded. We can pick you up from the airport as long as you arrive before 10:00 p.m.. and we can drop you off at the airport as long as it's after 7:00 a.m.. we will all eat dinner together and breakfast and lunch you will be provided with many options

Activities & Shift

Work is typically from 9:00 until 2:00 with a lunch break. You can choose to work shorter hours or longer hours we can be quite flexible

Rules

We expect you to be able to clean up after yourself, and be quiet at night
