Program Details
Colibri is a family-run eco-lodge, founded by Rolando (Bolivian), Emma (British, living in Bolivia for 27 years), and their son David. Nestled in a semi-rural village in the Andes, just 30 minutes from La Paz, Colibri is surrounded by stunning mountain views, hummingbirds, and vibrant local life.
For over 15 years, we’ve welcomed volunteers from around the world who’ve become part of our extended family. Their creativity and dedication have helped shape Colibri into the special place it is today — from building our award-winning eco-campsite to supporting sustainable tourism across Bolivia.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers help maintain our eco-lodge through tasks that support sustainability: cleaning rooms, helping in the kitchen, gardening, landscaping, and assisting with recycled systems like irrigation and solar-powered facilities. You’ll also support guest services and digital promotion.
⏰ Work is 5 days/week, 5 hours/day (shifts vary: 07:30–12:30 or 15:00–20:00). Couples may have different shifts during the week but share weekends and days off.
Rules
We are not a party hostel, we are quiet after 10pm.
No smoking in rooms.
Respect and kindness to all our team.
