The experience

Welcome in our family !
We are a little family farmers in Normandy, France.
We breed Horses, so if you want to discover the Horse Stud Farm life, with respect, time, and peaceful place for animals, you will like our farm !
Spanish Andalusians horses are friendly, easy to learn, and sooo beautifuls !
We have also dogs, cats and some chickens and ducks, and 4 childrens !
We would be happy to welcome you in our family farm.


What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate French or Beginner English

Over 18 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Travel insurance

Program Details

Mostly the day start by feed the animals, clean the dogs cages and cats litter.
Sometimes we have one or two horse's boxe to clean as well, but our horses leave outside and we use a machine to clean our paddocks.
On the afternoon, also need one hour to feed again the horses.


Activities & Shift

We work with the seasons at the farm. Breeding /foaling season (more work at this time) is from March to July, Summer more fun with more time to ride horses, then the fall start in September with the weaning of the foals. We then start their education (halters, lead, give the foots, go again in the trailer, do a shower etc..)


Rules

Please no smock inside the house.
Day start at 8h00 mostly.
We share the food and educate our children's to don't eat all but share, so please do the same.
